This project presents a collection of system
Formwork hardware that has completed its original function on construction sites is reinterpreted through an upcycling process. Industrial materials, along with their inherent structural qualities, are transformed into functional objects for everyday use.

The first product in the collection is a desk lamp. Standardized formwork components are disassembled into smaller units, cut, and reassembled through a newly designed structure to create a functional lighting object. Traces of industrial use are retained and refined within a restrained form, emphasizing the material’s origin while assigning it a new role.
The design explores the balance between two distinct materials, focusing on proportion, weight, and contrast rather than decorative expression.
Three finish options are available: an untreated version that preserves the original material texture, and anodized finishes completed through sanding or hairline processing, allowing the product to adapt to different spatial contexts.

This project demonstrates how industrial materials at the end of their lifecycle can be recontextualized through design, extending their value and function beyond their original purpose.
